　　Zhenjiang Export Processing Zone locates at Jiangsu Provincial Zhenjiang Economic Development Zone east of Zhenjiang City. Located in the beautiful Yangtze River Delta, Zhenjiang, a 3000 year-old historical and cultural city in China, is a port city featuring an integration of industry, trade and tourism. It has the honors of a coastal economic opening zone and a national clean city. Zhenjiang is situated in the middle of Jiangsu Province, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with Nanjing to the west, Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou to the east, and Yangzhou to the north across the river. Export-oriented economy has become the most active part of its whole economy. Area and Population: Zhenjiang covers an area of 3843 square kilometers with a population of 2.89 million. The city proper occupies an area of 1023 km2 with a population of 993,000.
Administrative Divisions: Zhenjiang Municipality is under the direct jurisdiction of Jiangsu Provincial Government. Under its own administration, there are 3 county level cities- Danyang, Jurong and Yangzhong and 4districts- Dantu, Jingkou, Runzhou and Zhenjiang New Area.
Backbone Industries:Chemical,paper making, electronics and building materials have become the four backbone industries of the city. The quality and technology on engineer plastic, acetic acid, titanium dioxide, high grade paper for office and industry, DVD and TV ranks in the top in China. Key products are auto parts, road paving mechanism, engineer mechanism, special-purpose boats and ships, hardware, bearing, glasses, bicycles and vinegar flavoring, etc.

Mineral Resources:There are a large storage of high quality limestone, dolomite and bentonite. Other metal mines are iron, copper, lead, zinc and molybdenum, etc.

Marketing:Zhenjiang is located at the crossing of the Yangtze River and the Grand Canal constituting the golden crisscross waterway. Zhenjiang is also at the intersection of Shanghai Economic Circle and Nanjing Metropolitan Circle. It enjoys very convenient transportation and potential markets.

Power, Water and Gas:The electricity penetration rate reaches 100%. Installed capacity reaches 1.875 million KW. The urban daily tap water supply capacity is 575 thousand cubic meters and the natural gas coverage reaches 90.5%.
